Kerry Eyerson survives in the Women’s World Curling Championship with a 10–4 win over Italy

Kerry Eyerson of Canada won the second straight game at the Women’s World Curling Championships with a 10–4 win over Italy on Tuesday.

At 3-5, the host country still faces a tough climb for the qualification rounds to be held between the six teams on Friday.

Eisenson were scheduled to face Scotland in Tuesday evening’s draw. Canada overtook both South Korea and the Italians after starting the championship 1–5.

The top six teams at the World Championships qualify their countries to compete in women’s curling at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.

The rest of the Olympic regions will be determined by the qualifying tournament in December.
