The previous Capeong Barrack website was renamed the First Nations Nami-Odena


The previous Capeong Barrack website has a brand new title.

The treaty was the primary nation to announce on Thursday after years of authorized challenges in 2019 that the positioning is now often called the Navi-Upsena.

The title implies, within the Anishinaabe language, the “middle of coronary heart and neighborhood” and represents the placement of the positioning on the middle of the continent.

On April 14 on the ceremony giving the standard title a reputation was chosen by the elder Dave Courchen Jr. on the Sagkeng First Nation.

The previous army base on Kenaston Boulevard closed in 2004, when its occupants moved to Shilo, a Canadian power base close to Brandon. The demolition of all former army buildings on the positioning started within the spring of final yr.
