Toronto police say they made just over 220 charges related to alleged violations of provincial emergency orders last weekend.
The force’s interim chief provided an update on enforcement efforts in a tweet Monday night.
James Raymer says the charges involve the perpetrators, but no further details have been given.
Last Friday, police said they had made 230 allegations related to the epidemic in about a week.
He said enforcement is largely focused on short-term rentals as well as large indoor events held in bars and restaurants.
