Water ban now in metro Vancouver seasonal lawn effect

Restrictions on seasonal lawn water are now in effect in Metro Vancouver.

Under the rules, residents and businesses can water their lawn twice a week, depending on the address of the property.

Even-numbered residential addresses can carry water between 4am and 9pm on Wednesdays and Saturdays, while odd-numbered addresses can carry water for the same time period on Thursdays and Sundays.

Even numbered business addresses can be watered between 1pm and 6pm, and between 4am and 9pm on Fridays, while odd-numbered assessments can take water on Tuesdays and Fridays.

People can water trees, bushes and flowers from sprinklers any day between 4 am and 9 am or through drip irrigation.

Edible plants are kept free from restrictions, which will remain in force till 15 October.
